If you don’t want to go to Alaska, then you might consider taking a trip to Seattle that is located in far U.S. northwestern corner. This beautiful city is located on the range of low hills overlooking mesmerizing water bodies with the Puget Sound to west, the Lake Washington to east a few miles away and the Lake Union that connects them in north.


Popular Seattle Center


The Seattle center can be reached by taking a Monorail ride. Reach the top to enjoy the spectacular view of this entire beautiful city, which is surrounded by all sides with mountains and lakes. This center includes Children’s Museum, Children’s Theater, Pacific Science Center, Bagley Wright Theater, Opera House, Key Arena, new Experience Music Project and Seattle Center Playhouse. There is also an amusement park, food gallery, assortment stores and video arcade.


Pike Place Market


The Pike Place Market overlooks Puget Sound waterfront. It is full of stores, kiosks and an array of vendors selling flowers, vegetables, seafood, and gifts. It is well known for flying fish market. Moreover, this market also homes to fine restaurants, ubiquitous coffee houses and specialty stores.


Waterfront


Seattle waterfront lies just behind the Pike Place Market. Several old fishing piers seem to have converted into shopping malls, restaurants and tourist attractions. Seattle is an excellent place for shopping enthusiasts with the wide range of boutiques, department stores and specialty stores. Major shopping malls include Lynnwood, Northgate, South Center and Bellevue.
